Fossilien von Dinosauriern und prähistorischen Pflanzen, Trittspuren und Skelette von Reptilien und Amphibien, die vor Millionen von Jahren lebten: Diese Funde aus der Dolomitengegend sind im Naturmuseum Südtirol in Bozen bei der Ausstellung „Dino & Co. – Saurier der Dolomiten“ zu sehen, die am kommenden Montag, 17. Oktober, von Kulturlandesrätin Sabina Kasslatter Mur um 18 Uhr eröffnet wird.
Saurier der Dolomiten - im Naturmuseum Bozen
Vor Millionen von Jahren lebte eine erstaunliche Vielfalt an Reptilien und Dinosauriern im Gebiet der Dolomiten. Davon zeugen die uralten, versteinerten Reste, die von Forschern in den Gesteinen gefunden wurden und für die Wissenschaft von extrem hoher Bedeutung sind. Einige dieser Fossilien stehen im Mittelpunkt der Sonderausstellung „Dino & Co. – Saurier der Dolomiten“, die von Montag, 18. Oktober 2011 bis 8. April 2012 im Naturmuseum Südtirol in Bozen zugänglich ist. Der Großteil der ausgestellten Fossilien wird zu diesem Anlass zum ersten Mal der Öffentlichkeit gezeigt.
