„Open air“ ist angesagt – denn beim sommerlichen Schlemmen verzichtet der Genießer gern mal aufs Dach. Dabei geht’s zum Sterneküche-Picknick auf der Almwiese. Am 26. August 2018 begrüßt das Gourmet-Event „Gompm Alm – the unplugged taste“ wieder rund 300 Gäste im Hirzer-Wandergebiet oberhalb von Schenna bei Meran. Hinter der edlen Alpenküche stecken fünf sterne- und haubengekrönte Südtiroler Spitzenchefs sowie ein Gastkoch, die „unplugged“ brutzeln – auf alten, mit Holz beheizten Herden, also ohne Strom oder Gas und unter freiem Himmel. Jeder Küchenkünstler kreiert auf Holzherden und offenen Feuerstellen ein innovatives Gericht und ein Dessert. An verschiedenen Genuss-Stationen präsentieren zudem lokale Aussteller ihre Spezialitäten, am Holzofen steht Show-Backen auf dem Plan. Die Kochstationen sind rund um die Alm verteilt, auf der Wiese und im Wald. Passend zu den Spezialitäten werden Weine lokaler Winzer, Biere oder hausgemachter Saft ausgeschenkt.
